My earlier works share many common themes, some of which include: preservation, protection, science, and historical narrative. I am strongly influenced by antique and found objects. As a child I frequented antique malls with my father. The explicit maker’s connection to their object’s craftsmanship and quality is something I have strong admiration for and aim to emulate. These works are all the result of technical and conceptual exploration influenced by my love of antique aesthetic.
